I know that exercise is good for me, but I just don’t have a lot of time to get to the gym and exercise for an hour a day. How much exercise is enough to see the benefits?

Well, you have touched on one of the great myths of exercise, which is that “exercise requires a huge time commitment”. In fact, you can see the benefits of exercise in as little as ten minutes a day. It depends on your goals, but if you are just beginning an exercise program, I recommend that you begin by just increasing your activity by 10 minutes each day. At this point, it doesn’t matter what the activity is as long as you enjoy it. Once you have developed a routine, then you can increase your time commitment to 30 minutes a day most days per week.
