Healthy Hummus

  • 1 can chick peas, drained
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • Lemon juice from 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 1/2 tsp. ground caraway
  • 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. cilantro, chopped
  • Black pepper to taste


  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and puree.
  2. Serve with pita bread or sliced vegetables.
