Homemade Chili

1lb. of lean ground beef or turkey
2 15 oz cans of kidney or pinto beans
1 15 oz can of tomato sauce and canned diced tomatoes
1/2 green bell pepper
1/2 red bell pepper
1-2 green chilies (depending on your preference of spiciness)
1 red or white onion
2-3 garlic cloves
dash of salt
dash of sugar
dash of ground black pepper
1 packet of McKormick chili seasoning mix


1. Cook meat, chopped onions, chopped bell pepper, and garlic cloves in skillet until browned.
2. Drain oil and add remaining ingredients; simmer to to taste.

I use a crock pot to simmer but the skillet used to cook meat in will be okay, too.
