Popcorn Balls

  • 2/3 cup popcorn kernels
  • 1 cup reduced-fat margarine
  • 1 cup honey
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • Crushed Pecans (optional)


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Pop popcorn kernels in an air popper; once popped, place in a large roasting pan.
  3. In a medium saucepan, melt butter, honey, and salt together, stirring well.
  4. Bring mixture to a boil, and boil for one minute, stirring constantly.
  5. Stir in vanilla.
  6. Pour honey mixture over popcorn and stir to coat evenly.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes.
  8. Let popcorn cool slightly, until it is cool enough to handle.
  9. Grease hands with butter or cooking spray, and mold popcorn into 1-inch balls.
  10. Roll balls in crushed pecans, if desired.
  11. Place balls on wax paper to cool before eating.
