Easter Cherry Sauce for Ham

  • 1/2 cup dried cherries
  • 3 cups Old Orchard 100% Tart Cherry Juice
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp. almond extract


  1. Bring 2 1/2 cups cherry juice to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat, add dried cherries and cover.
  3. Let simmer for 5 minutes until cherries are plump, then turn off burner.
  4. In a medium saucepan combine sugar and cornstarch.
  5. Whisk in the remaining 1/2 cup cherry juice and bring to a boil.
  6. Add dried cherry mixture and boil 1 minute.
  7. Remove from heat . Add almond extract. Serve over ham.
