I'm a 27-year old mother of a 2 year old and have been have high cholesterol. I have tried to participate in Pilates at least 3x a week, and with a toddler around eating is basically whatever I can get my hands on, although I'm trying. I was wondering is there anything else that that I can do to lower my cholesterol and weight? Thank you for your time and information.

First of all, good for you with the Pilates! Exercise in general is an excellent way to help you lower you bad cholesterol (LDL) and raise your good cholesterol (HDL). Increasing physical activity (if possible, for approximately 30 minutes 5 days a week) can also help you lose weight. Having a little one to keep track of might not allow you the luxury of having 30 minutes to yourself, so I would suggest breaking this up into 10 minute segments. Walking briskly, taking the stairs, parking your car further away, etc. are all ways to increase physical activity to help lower cholesterol.
