I have lost about 40lbs, but my stomach is not flattening; I do 2 days of strenght training for about 1hr and it includes 15 minutes of abs. What can I do to get better results or what can I take out of my diet that may be the cause. I am still about 235lbs.

First of all, congratulations on losing 40lbs, that is great. It is important to remember that it takes time to make changes to your body and that not everyone will have “six pack” abs. You are on the right track by including strength training in your routine because strength training will increase your metabolism and help you burn more calories at rest. However, depending on how long you have been doing the two days of strength training a week, it may be time to increase your intensity. Once your body becomes accustomed to an activity (whether it is strength, cardio or abs) you have to change your routine and challenge your body at least every 4-6 weeks. This means that you should really add another day of strength training to your routine. You also do not mention cardiovascular activity. If you are not doing any cardio workout, it is time to include that in to your program as well. I would recommend that you try and incorporate some form of activity (strength or cardio) in to your day on most days of the week. Keep up the great work.
