What are the best fruits, vegetables and juice to help leg and joint pains?

Your question is a good one. As I get older, new aches and pains pop up every day. But there are certain foods that can help reduce inflammation and certainly help ease leg and joint pains. Fruits and vegetables comprise the majority of these foods. Take apricots and watermelon for example. They are filled with a plant-based chemical called beta-cryptoxanthin, which may reduce inflammation. How about summer squash? This veggie contains several antioxidants (carotenoids, flavonoids and vitamin C) which may help combat free-radical damage and reduce inflammation, slowing cartilage breakdown and reducing joint pain. One of the healthiest vegetables out there (in my humble opinion) may also help ease joint pain. Broccoli contains a chemical called sulphoraphane. This chemical is hypothesized to help fight against cancer and it also may prevent or slow the progression of osteoarthritis. Citrus fruits (oranges, grapefruit, limes) can also be important for the overall health of your joints. They are filled with vitamin C, which may help reduce inflammation and ease joint pain. One of my favorite recommendations is 100% tart cherry juice. Tart cherry juice can help reduce inflammation and oxidative stress associated with endurance exercise. The cherry juice can also help ease the pain associated with osteoarthritis. Because of this, Old Orchard’s 100% tart cherry juice has become a part of my daily diet!
