Spiced Applesauce

4 apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
3/4 cup water
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg


1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan.
2. Cover pan and cook on medium heat until apples are tender (about 20 minutes).
3. Allow apples to cool, then mash until desired consistency is reached.
