No Sugar Added Fruit Pie

  • Pre-made pie crust
  • 3 cups sliced sweet apples
  • 3 cups sliced pears
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen Old Orchard Apple Raspberry concentrate(undiluted)
  • 3 Tbsp minute tapioca
  • 1 t lemon juice
  • 1 t cinnamon, 1/4 t nutmeg, 1/4 t allspice


  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup unbleached flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour(or spelt)
  • 1/4 cup oat flour
  • 3/4 cup quick oats
  • 1 t cinnamon


  1. Place pie crust in bottom of 9 inch pie plate.
  2. Add tapioca to thawed concentrate and let sit for 15 minutes.
  3. Mix together apples and pears, add tapioca juice mix, and microwave for 4 minutes to soften.
  4. Stir in the blueberries, lemon juice and spices. Taste to see if you would like more spice. Add as needed.
  5. Pour into pastry lined pie plate.
  6. For the topping, mix dry ingredients together, then cut in the butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over top of pie.
  7. Bake at 425 degrees for 40-50 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. Serve warm or cold.
