Applesauce Cookies

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup shortening 
• 1/3 cup of Old Orchard Apple juice concentrate 
• 1 egg, beaten
• 2 cup flour 
• 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 
• 1/4 tsp. ground cloves 
• 1/2 tsp. salt 
• 1/2 tsp. soda 
• 1 tsp. baking powder 
• 1 cup applesauce

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375. 
2. Cream shortening and sugar, add egg and mix well.
3. In large bowl, mix all dry ingredients including spices and add alternately with applesauce to the creamed mixture. 
4. Drop by rounded teaspoons on well greased baking sheets. 
5. Bake 15 mins.

Yield: 2 1/2 dozen
