Grandma’s Lemonade Cookies

  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1/2 cup White Sugar 
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon of lemon extract
  • 1 1/2 cup of flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 cup of Old Orchard lemonade
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon of white sugar 
  • A pinch of nutmeg.


  1. Preheat Oven to 375F and use a nonstick cookie sheet 
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the butter and sugar
  3. When smooth, combine the egg, baking soda, and lemon extract
  4. Slowly add and switch back and fourth between the flour and lemonade
  5. Place mixture on the cookie sheet in round balls about 1 inch thick
  6. Bake for roughly 15 minutes, or until bottoms are golden brown 
  7. Use the tablespoon of sugar and combine the nutmeg
  8. Use the juice from the lemon and lightly brush over each cookie
  9. Apply the sugar mix over the cookie You will then have the best sugar lemon cookie you have ever had.
